ICON BY VOLTAIC - INTEGRATED CONCRETE SOLAR ROOF TILE

The tile that is the roof.

A roof-first solar system built for homes where performance, durability, and design all matter. 17.5W per tile. 1,540 watts per roofing square. Ten years field-proven.

WHY ICON

A roof, reimagined

ICON is not a panel system added on top. It is a roof-integrated solar solution that keeps the roofline clean, intentional, and architectural from the start.

Designed for beauty

An architectural concrete tile that is the roof and the PV module in one unit. 17.5W per tile, 1,540 watts per roofing square, ventilated double-batten assembly, 30-year roof warranty.

Made for long-term ownership

A roof is a long-term decision. ICON is positioned for homeowners who want durability, performance, and a warranty structure built for ownership over time.

HVHZ

Power without compromise

ICON brings solar generation into the roofing system itself, so homeowners can pursue energy performance without sacrificing curb appeal or adding bulky hardware above the roof.

Roof-first. Future-ready.

If you are replacing the roof anyway, it is the right time to choose a system that protects the home and produces power in one integrated solution built for the future.

FIRE RATED

Class A

Built for the storm

From hurricane zones to harsh weather exposure, ICON follows a roof-first approach engineered for strength where it matters most: the roof plane, edges, and details.

Designed to match Westlake Saxony 900

Built on an architectural concrete tile platform based on proven concrete roofing systems, giving ICON a more substantial foundation than lightweight solar shingles.

FIELD REPORT — PROJECT ELSA SOLTAK

Same roof. Same day. Ten years apart. In 2016, an ICON integrated solar roof went into service under one of

the harshest seasonal climates a roof can face — freeze-thaw cycles, UV exposure, severe temperature swings. On July 14, 2026 — ten years in — it out-produced its first year, straight from the owner's monitoring app.

THE CRAFT

One unit. Two duties.

An architectural concrete tile and a PV module in a single unit: concrete header above, matte photovoltaic face below. A non-reflective DuPont™ mineral surface holds a low-glare, architectural finish while capturing low-angle morning and evening light — a uniform slate-style surface with no dummy tiles and no exposed hardware.

What makes ICON different

Ventilated, sealed roof assembly

ICON is engineered as a ventilated roof assembly, not a direct-to-deck solar layer. That separation allows air to move beneath the tiles within a sealed roofing system, helping reduce heat buildup while supporting proper moisture control — a roof-native approach that promotes thermal performance without opening the assembly to moisture, pests, or debris.

Concrete tile as thermal mass

The concrete roofing base helps absorb and dissipate heat, while the roof-integrated design and rear air space support passive airflow around the solar cells — reducing heat buildup at the roof surface and supporting stable performance in high-temperature conditions compared to lightweight, direct-applied solar products.

Code acceptance in demanding jurisdictions

Developed with code credibility in mind: HVHZ acceptance, Class A fire performance, and documentation for challenging jurisdictions where roof systems are scrutinized more closely.

Roof-first installation practices

ICON follows roof-first installation logic rooted in familiar tile roofing methods — installs like concrete tile, single-crew installation, faster sequencing — with solar integrated into the assembly rather than added as separate rooftop equipment.

Real-world output, not lab-only claims

ICON is positioned around real-world roof performance: thermal behavior, roof assembly logic, and long-term installed performance in the actual climates homeowners live in.
